We've had a few rare sunny warm days. Lily loves hanging out in the lawn. She just sits quietly looking around and playing with the grass and dandelions. She of course tries to eat it AND feed it to Kaiya. Lily's most favorite thing is watching Kaiya run... Lily just squeals and claps for more. Once Kaiya gets tired she comes and lays by Lily. Watching them interact just amazes me everytime. Sometimes I wonder if Kaiya knows she is a dog, I think she thinks she's a human like us and Lily! All we know is that she is most definitely family!

Here are a BUNCH of pictures of Lily! About a week ago she started walking... ALL OVER! She's just barely 10 months old and walks and walks. Our nanny Kira totally called it, said she'd be walking by 10 months and she is. She'd take 3-4 steps when she was 9 months, but Jerad and I never counted it as walking... now she's walking EVERYWHERE! We are so impressed by her skils, she barely falls and if she gets off balance, she can correct it. She just LOVES to climb up and over stuff. Kaiya is her main jungle gym right now. And OH the bond they have... Lily sits on Kaiya and bounces and Kaiya just lays there and take it. We will just tell you LABS are the BEST dogs to have with babies... in our opinion of course!

Lily also LOVES to eat what ever we are eating. We have a family dinner every night and share with Lily. She is going through a phase where she MUST feed herself with her spoon. She makes a HUGE mess, but Papa and I encourage it as long as she's eating and learning to do it herself!She loves broccoli, mac & cheese, potatoes, carrots, chicken and especially strawberries. She INHALES them... it's funny to watch her stuff her face to overflowing with them. I will post those pictures at a later date. As well as Bane's 1st birthday party!

Easter & Strainers...

Lily is into everything! She is such a little explorer and isn't afraid of much. We kiddy-proofed all of our kitchen cabinets except for one. We left the tupperware and strainer cabinet unlocks so she can play while we are in the kitchen. She just loves pulling everything out and trying to stack it. And ever since Andrea bought her a hat she is fascinated with hats. So of course everthing has to be tried on your head! Although, one day she did get a mesh strainer stuck on her head. Her poor little nose was just smashed, a Papa just laughed at her. Mama of course had to rescue her! Silly Papa...

Easter was WONDERFUL. Of course the family came over and we ate TONS of food. Bane & Lily got their first Easter Buckets and some marshmallow Peeps... that everyone else ate of course!

It is so amazing how much Lily and Bane love each other. They hug, kiss and hold each others hands all the time when they are together. They just play and play, and do everything together. I certainly hope this stays that way! When they just lean over and kiss each other Stacey and I almost start crying, it is just way too precious. We make it a point that they hang out at least every other weekend. They both are just the light of our lives... I just adore BP's funny little personality! I'm pretty sure they both are going to be so annoyed with us when they are older because Stacey and I just smother them with LOVE and FUN TIMES!

Mariner's Opening Day!

FINALLY... a posting from us Matthai's. We've been just so very busy with life, home & work. We will keep it brief with a few quick updates. Below are some pictures of the Mariner's Opening Day (including Auntie Taran & Unkie Adam & Cuzzy Carson). It was such a fabulous day! The weather was a tad chilly, but no rain! We had a BIG group (10 M's Fan's) of us that went and we hung out with Laura at Pyramid Brewery. Laura took Lily on a behind the scenes tour and showed her off to all her co-workers. The kids ate lots of fries, and Carson even sucked a lemon dry!! The kiddos were just GREAT! Seriously, they are such wonderfully behaved children. We are so very, very blessed. PS: The M's WON!!

Long Time No Post! 9 Month Lily!

Us Matthai's have been EXTREMELY busy lately. A lot in our lives and on our plates right now!So we thought we'd just post a few updates and pictures real quick...
Lily has been officially standing the last week or so for a few minutes at a time. Mama had caught her standing a couple times for about 20 seconds a couple weeks ago. (With toys in both hands Lily had no recourse BUT to stand!!) But she was standing over her ball popper when Uncle Danny and I noticed she wasn't holding onto anything and was putting balls in it. She did this for well over a minute. Mama got teary eyed, while Uncle Danny cheered her on. I never cried when she was born, her first laugh, her first roll over, crawl, etc. But seeing her stand made me so emotional. As soon as she walks, she's not a baby anymore!! Our nanny Kira thinks she will walk by 10 months. We hold her hands and she "walks" around with us. SIGH... I'm getting emotional just thinking about it. Papa is stoked about her walking soon. LOL, I'm sure she will be outside helping Pa do chores.
Speaking of outside, Lily just LOVES it outside! She loves watching Kaiya run. We take her around the yard and she just has to touch EVERYTHING. She loves feeling grass, leaves, flowers and of course dirt. Oh dirt!! She just loves everything about it... especially eating it. It was so nice this last weekend Lily even got to join us and Gramma Veronica for a little picnic out on the patio.
Lily still loves bath time more than anytime. Every night after dinner she goes in the tub and plays and plays. Mama and Papa just wish there were more hours in the day though to spend with our beautiful Little Sprout...

So Auntie Taran and Carson came to visit. I sure enjoy Taran's company a lot, and it is so nice that Lily and Carson are so very close in age. They are both TOO cute. Seriously their big blue eyes looking up at you... you can't help but smile. They would NOT sit still for us to take pictures and I'm pretty sure at one point Taran became a baby jungle gym! They were more interested in taking our cameras from us. We are hoping the next baby photo shoot goes better!!
