Some Snaps!

Here's a quick update so far on the Matthai's world. Last weekend we went to Tri-Cities for Papa's NSA state softball tournament. It was 108 degrees out over there!! We of course had a hotel, and Lily did AWESOME! It was such an exciting two day tournament... and finally after years and years, Jerad and his team (Field of Champions) WON STATE! All us, moms, dads, wives, kids and fans were SO very proud of our boys. It was finally a pleasant car ride home after all these years (usually they lose by 1 or 2 games).
Yesterday we went to a BBQ at Grampy Dave's house. It was so fun! Grampy always does it right with TONS of food, drinks and great people. We just love our Grampy/Dad. Mama and Papa just don't know what we'd do without him. He is such a wonderful guy!! Lily got to hang out with her cuz Carson too. He is just soooooo cute! Mama just wanted to squish his marshmallow cheeks! As you know Carson is just 2 weeks (exactly) older than Lily. They are both wonderful and amazing babies! Taran and Adam did an awesome job on Lil' Carson! ;p
This week we are going to get 2 month pictures of Lily... with Mama & Papa too! Lily smiles so much now, it's perfect timing to get her pictures. She also 'talks' to you too. She just LOVES the morning time and is most active then. She also can copy you and stick out her tongue if you do it! She's just a little sponge right now. She also is SUPER strong. She never had a problem holding her head up, she basically did it right out of the womb! She is also standing up LOTS! Papa barely holds her and she pushes herself right up to standing. She LOVES tummy time and can almost roll onto her side... awww, our baby is just growing up too fast. Mama wishes there was a little 'slow down' machine she could stick Lily in.

Houseboat 2008 Weekend!

So it was Chris and Tyler's 30th birthday's this August... so Tracey decided to get the boys a houseboat to celebrate. The houseboat was on Lake Roosevelt in Eastern WA. It was AWESOME! The boat had a full kitchen, flat screen, 2 bathrooms, a water slide and a hot tub on the top deck. It was SO much fun. Lily came with us and she did amazing. No crying or nothing. I think she liked the rowdy boys. She seems to sleep better when there is a lot going on around her. If it's quiet I think she feels left alone or something, because then she's wide awake. For SURE we all decided we are doing the houseboat again next year. Tracey didn't get to go because of her pregnancy and needing to be on bed rest for a while... so Brad and I will get on planning it for next year because it wasn't the same without her. :( We all missed her VERY much and don't like not having her with us! Life with Lily!

So Lily is just growin' and growin'. She is getting to have her own personality too. We just love seeing her smile. We see all of our life and love in her little grin. It just fills our hearts knowing she is happy. That's what we want most for her... HAPPINESS. So here are a few pics from the last week:
