Ma & Lil' Lily 26 Weeks

So we are at 26 weeks already. It seems like the months have just flown by. We really can't complain though. Lily has been really good to Lisa, just a little back pain and occasional heartburn. Mama just can't eat her spicy foods she likes, as her tummy is up in her rib cage. So the jalepenos and spicy Thai food will just have to wait until Lily decides to pop out into the world. Sorry Mama!
The last Dr. visit was good. Everything is on the up & up. Lily always finds some way to impress us every visit. One time she would hold up her little hands a feet for Mama when she asked. Another time she gave us a 'thumbs up'... this last visit she was still a little character. The Dr. was using the heartbeat amplifier on Mama's belly so Papa and Dr. could hear it. Well, Lil' Lily decided that hearing her own heartbeat on the outside was quite exciting. She started jumping in Mama's belly! Mama's belly took a HUGE bounce. Both Papa and the Dr. were impressed at her strength. Mama on the other hand is used to Lil's antics, but it was funny for her to see the surprise on Papa and Dr.'s face. Mama and Papa can't wait to hold you Lil' Lily... until then stay strong. We love you!!

BANE PALMER LEKBERG... Due on 5/5/08

So Jerad and I are SUPER excited for Stacey and Eric's little boy and our nephew Bane Palmer. We are so happy he and Lily will be close in age. They will probably grow up more like brother and sister than cousins. He is already a super cute baby! With big marshmallow cheeks. We just can't wait to hold and squeeze him! Auntie Lisa is already a proud aunt. Check him out in all his cuteness:

FLOATER... Again!

So we headed out to another FLOATER concert this last weekend. We went to dinner early at Pyramid Brewery, the went to Hooverville, a bar where you can throw peanut shells on the floor. Any bar you can do that at is a-ok in my book.

FLOATER was an acoustic show at the Showbox SODO. It was again, another fun, fun time. There wasn't many people there and it was amazing. Rob (the lead singer) was pretty chatty with everyone. The song list was amazing, they played a really great show. I ran into some ol' Central WA University friends, so it was nice to catch up with them in such a laid back environment. As always it was fun hanging with the Thomas', Sarah, Brad and Mia. Hope we can all do it again real soon...

Week 25 for Lil' Lil!

So here is what's going on with Lily as of Week 25:
Your little grower’s physical proportions are evening out at this point and most of their remaining development will largely be weight gain and lots and lots of nervous system development. The good news is: if your child is born premature now they’ll be more likely to survive without too much trauma as their lungs began to produce “surfactant” last week, which means their tiny respiratory system is getting stronger with each passing day. Yes, now’s a good time for a minor sigh of relief and a quick pat on the back. All that hard work and conscientious living is really getting your child prepared for a healthy delivery. Keep up the fabulous work mama! This week they’ll be scootching slowly out of the old breech position and start rotating (already!) into a better position for exit during their birth. Their head and feet are slowly rotating so that the head is pointed down towards the birth canal. Time is short (or really long, depending on who you ask)—just (still!) 14 weeks left before you can go back to being a single-resident human.

Lil' Lily's Perspective:
Lil' Lil is so active! Mama loves it and appreciates every little roll, kick and jab. She is especially wiggly right before bed! Mama is tired and of course Lily is ready to rock and roll. Papa needs to step up his game and start telling her more "it's bedtime and Mum needs her sleep so Lil' grows up big, strong and pretty". We have our next appointment with the Dr. on Wednesday afternoon, then we schedule the next Lil' Lily photoshoot... probably for the next day. We are excited to see how long she is and how much she weighs right now. Mama feels like she just 'blew up' this last week, so we definitely know this kid is putting on some weight!

Well not much really to report. Lily is definitely growing, and reacting to outside noises. She gets pretty active when she hears Jerad's voice! It's so wonderful with him having such a low and loud voice... she will for sure know her Daddy is around!
Jerad and I have still been busy working on the house. As soon as we have the counters in we will post pictures for everyone. We are both really excited to have the kitchen done... because as we go along other projects keep popping up. Sure keeps us busy.

We went out to see one of our favorite bands FLOATER play. It was such a great time. Lisa of course was DD, so it worked out pretty good for everyone as the concert was in Tacoma. So a little shout out to Mia, Nic, Emily, Rob, Ben, Sarah, Brad, Scotty and Drea for making our night SO much fun! We can't wait to do it again... Good Times!
