How Big is the Baby at Fourteen Weeks Pregnant?

Your baby may be anywhere from 3.2 to a little over 4 inches long by pregnancy week 14, and likely weighs close to one ounce! Every day of your pregnancy week by week your baby is growing more and more proportional.

Your Baby's Growth and Development

By pregnancy 14 weeks your baby's body is growing quite rapidly. During pregnancy week 14 his length is catching up with his slightly larger head. The ears have started their move to the sides of the head, and the eyes continue to get closer and closer together. During pregnancy week 14 your baby's neck will elongate, and the chin will start to rise up off the chest. Your baby's reflexes will also continue to develop this week. By pregnancy 14 weeks your baby should be receiving their nutrition directly from the placenta.

White Elephant Party

Here are some pics from the White Elephant Party. It was it was so comical opening everyone's gifts. We all laughed SO hard. We had our good friends' (Tracey & Tyler) son Jaymin helping with the elfly duties. He was too cute for words that night! What a great time. Awww... I am SO SAD!!!

My Dr. office called this morning and my Dr. and 2 nurses are sick. So they had to reschedule my ultrasound and heartbeat reading until NEXT Friday (12/28). Jerad and I are SO bummed out! We were so excited to share the pictures and experience with our families and friends. Jerad was SUPER excited to take the pictures to Seahawks tailgating... he is already such a proud Papa and can't wait to show off! I feel SO blessed to have such a wonderful, caring, loving and supportive husband. He really is an amazing person.

So my family and friends, we are so sad it was delayed... dang this flu & cold season being so horrendous! I too was a victim of a virus, so really, my heart goes out to anyone that has been sick this year.

On a funnier note we had a SUPER fun White Elephant Party last weekend. It was by far one the best Christmas parties ever. I don't think I have laughed so hard at the gifts people brought. I will post the pictures this weekend so everyone can see and read about some of the good times. Thank you too, to everyone that participated. It was SO great seeing all of you. You all are fabulous friends and us Matthai's are unbelievably lucky to have you all in our lives.

13 Weeks

How Big is the Baby at Thirteen Weeks Pregnant?

During pregnancy week 13 your baby is anywhere from 2 and a half to a little over 3 inches long and weighs up to .7ounces. Though your baby is significantly larger by pregnancy 13 weeks, he is still pretty tiny. Fortunately there is plenty of room to expand in your uterus as you follow your pregnancy week by week!

Your Baby's Growth and Development

By the end of pregnancy week 13 your baby looks like a tiny yet fully formed baby. While your baby's head is still quite large, his body is starting to catch up. Your baby's eyes are starting to move closer together by pregnancy 13 weeks. Up until this point in time they rested closely along the sides of the head. Your baby's intestines are also moving further into their body, and your baby's tiny pancreas starts producing insulin, which will be vital for regulating your baby's sugar levels later in life!

Mini Matthai Update...

I know some of you are curious when pictures of the 'Wee Matthai' will be posted. The next baby photo shoot is on 12/21. I am excited, because the baby will look more like an actual little person... than just a little bean!

We don't find out if it is a boy or girl until end of January. Of course Jerad really wants a boy (all dads do I think)... I am completely on the fence, either one is fine with me! Although if it's a boy, I will be really excited for Jerad because he will get his wish!

The Baby for Now

So this is our baby for now. Kaiya. She was outside while we were at the Seahawks game all day Sunday, and it was so cold that day. So when we got home, she found her own little nest and snuggled right in... she really is a great dog and definitely is a HUGE part of our family!

The Demolition...

So Jerad and I have a tiny kitchen... it's the only part of the house we don't really like. The former owners put up a wall in between the kitchen and living room making our upstairs very closed off. It's been driving Jerad and I crazy for two years, so while I was really sick (and with a baby on the way) Jerad decided it was time to take the wall down.

Dave came over to help, and he recruited Uncle Mike to come help too! The Matthai Men sure did a fabulous job, and were cracking me up the whole time. I think they actually had a good ol' time doing it! I was certainly impressed by their handy work. Thanks Dad and Uncle Mike... you both are just too wonderful for words. We look forward to you coming over and celebrating once we have the breakfast bar in!

It's a Seahawks Christmas!

Every year we do a Seahawks themed tree. Mom helps us out and buys us Seahawks ornaments every year. Jerad thinks it's brings the 'Hawks luck during playoffs... and I think it just might too, because we have been stomping the competition lately. It's hopefully going to be a Very Merry Seahawks Christmas!

Welcome!

Here we are! Finally... we have SO much going on lately we thought this would be a great way to keep everyone updated on our life happenings. We are getting ready for Christmas and doing house renovations. Along with Seahawks seasons tickets, it's always an adventure in our lives.
