Okay, Okay Little Girl...

...you love it Ma's tummy. Ma gets it. You are snuggly in there. Really I don't blame you though... you got it made in there. No worries, just sleeping and chilling! ;)
So, yes. I am technically 10 months pregnant. OH BOY! I will be going onto week 41... as there has been no progess in my uterus. Who would have thought it?! (Lil' Lily Isabella did get both Jerad and I's stubborn streaks!) So my Dr. decided she probably won't come out on her own, so this Mama is getting induced in a couple days! It is risky for Mama and baby to go past 42 weeks. Lots of issues can arise!
Lily passed her NST (heart stress test) and BPP (bio physical profile ultrasound) so at least we know at this point no C-section will be needed. Dr. said her heart was REALLY strong and she looked really good in there. He also told us she looked to be a "beautiful" baby. He was pretty impressed by how cute she was and kept telling us over and over... Mama & Papa agree of course. The pictures we got do NOT do her justice. She was yawning and smiling lots. It was really cute. Papa couldn't take his eyes off her. He was almost falling out of his chair to see her. It really was an adorable moment for Mama!! Also Lily is going to be a big girl! The Dr.'s guess she is already at 8lbs, 3oz. YIKES! She has gained most of her weight in the last two weeks... Mama feels like a whale right now!
So Monday the 30th I go in to get a gel that helps me efface and dilate more. Then I call the hospital at 11pm on 7/1 Tuesday... then I get induced at midnight (7/2)! I sure hope she isn't stubborn coming out! Papa's birthday is on the 3rd and Grammy Diane's is on the 1st... and Lily will possibly be born on 7/2... so that's 3 happy birthday's in a row! We should be checked out on the 4th... so Jerad's birthday party will have to wait until the 5th! It will be fun to celebrate Lily and Papa's birthday's together. I couldn't imagine a more special time for Lily to be born. Mama will have LOTS of birthday spoiling to do!
Soooo... the next post should have actual pictures of our daughter. We just can't express how ready and excited we are to meet her! It's long OVERDUE that's for sure.

I think Grammy Diane is getting pretty excited to meet Lily. She brought Lily and I the BIGGEST and most BEAUTIFUL flower arrangement ever. I don't think in my whole life I have gotten such a lovely bouquet of flowers. It is FULL of LILIES too... what a wonderful surprise! Jerad and I both absolutely love it, and wish it could last forever!

Grammy Diane also bought Lily the MOST adorable Seattle Mariner's outfit. It is SO, SO, SO cute. Jerad was absolutely stoked about it. Even though the M's aren't doing so good... we are for sure taking her to game as soon as we can. With her outfit from Grammy Diane and awesomely home made M's blanket from Stacey's mom-in-law Cathy (Lily's Gramma In-Law we call her)... she is ready for a game at Safeco!

Week 40! Oh JOY!!

Week 40 and Feeling HUGE!

Okay... note Lisa's sarcasm on the title of this entry. This last week has pretty much been the hardest, I am SO uncomfortable. Lying down hurts my hips and groin. Sitting hurts my back and squishes Lily, so she kicks my sternum and sides. Standing or walking just makes my feet and ankles hurt. So yes... it's rough! As of last Wednesday I am still 1cm dilated and 75% effaced. Lily's due date is pretty much here, and it looks as though we have one stubborn little girl (the Dr. even called her that too!). Her astrological sign is now a Cancer (like Papa) so I think she is acting like a little crab and not wanting to come out of her shell! ;p
On a GREAT, GREAT note though... since I have stopped working my blood pressure dropped 20 points and I have ZERO protein in my urine! So yes, yes... my job was not good for my pregnancy. It is a high stress job with all the responsibilities I have, I guess I just never realized how much that affects one's health!
I have a Dr. appointment on Thursday, so we will see what Dr. thinks. I asked him about her coming late last week, and he said we would just talk about that if we get there... so yes Dr. Haines, I know you wanted to see me BEFORE the due date, but looks as though Lily isn't cooperating on that! Jerad and I are hoping she will be here soon though... but looks as though she already inherited Mama and Papa's stubborn streak! Stay tuned...

Weeks Are Flying By! Quick Updates...

*Week 36 *Week 36 1/2 *Week 37

Sorry we have updated in a while. We have been pretty busy lately. All and all, Lily and Mom are doing good.

We had a pretty chill Memorial Weekend. Mama planted a bunch of flowers in pots, and guided Papa in getting our WHOLE garden set up. It will be AWESOME in a couple months! We have 4 different kinds of tomato plants (Roma, Yellow Pear, Hothouse and Black Russians). We have a few pepper plants (yellow, red and green). We have HOT pepper plants too (chili, jalepeno and some other one I can't remember). Our herb garden is just AMAZING too... we have Hot & Spicy Oregano, Basil (x2), Pineapple Mint, Purple Sage, Cilantro, Rosemary (x2), Parsley and Chives. For other veggies we planted Broccoli, Lemon Cucumbers, Zucchini, Pumpkins, Corn, Sweet Onions and Squash. We might have a couple more, but I can't remember right now. I really want to get Sweet Peas and a Watermelon too! Mama is looking forward to taking care of Lily and working in the garden this summer.

On the baby front, Mama had a check up yesterday, and Dr. wants her to quit work soon. So this Mama's last day will be June 10th (I had to negotiate dates with Dr. since I have SOOOOOOO much to do still, no one does my job but me... unfortunately). My blood pressure is still rising and there is still protein in my urine... SO lots of rest until Lily is here, I am couch bound every day after work... no excuses. I think Lily will be REALLY soon. Mama has been having contractions (I had two yesterday for about 45 seconds). Mama is also 50% effaced and 1cm dialated. Lily's head is SUPER low in Mama's uterus too. I swear the Dr. could reach up an squeeze it if he wanted too! Really though Mama is not nervous or scared about labor AT ALL. I know it is going to be painful and probably a long process. So I am mentally prepared for it all. I just hope Papa is!! He says he is, but he reacts differently when actually put in the situation. So Mama might be having to help Papa through it too.

Anyways, that's it in a nutshell. We will keep you posted. Mama and Papa are both JUST SO EXCITED Lily will be here soon. Papa likes to fall asleep with his hand on Lil' Lily every night, and let her know he is excited to meet her and hold her. That fills Mama's heart with more love and happiness than she has ever felt before. So we will see you soon precious daughter... we just can't wait!
